Abuja, Dec. 12, 2025 (NAN) The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) on Friday mourned Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, saying his contributions to the development of Bayelsa State and the people will be fondly remembered.
The NGF Chairman, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, in a statement by Yunusa Abdullahi, Forum Director of Media and Strategic Communications, expressed sadness over the passing of Ewhrudjakpo.
AbdulRazaq described Ewhrudjakpo as a “dedicated public servant and a worthy deputy who was visionary and served his state with commitment and dedication.
“His inspiring values to public service are exemplary and will remain indelible to his friends and colleagues.
“Ewhrudjakpo’s “unwavering commitment to good governance, social justice and welfare of his people stood as a testament to his character and leadership”, he said.
AbdulRazaq said that the forum shared in the grief of the people of Bayelsa, family and friends of the deceased for the irreparable loss.
He prayed that the legacy, humility and service that Ewhrudjakpo rendered will continue to inspire future generation of leaders, while he condoled with Gov. Douye Diri of Bayelsa on the death.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
