Ondo APC lauds Aiyedatiwa’s commitment to economic growth

Akure, Dec. 19,2025 (NAN) The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has commended Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa for his commitment to governance and efforts at repositioning the state for sustainable economic growth.
This is contained in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Akure by the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Mr Steve Otaloro.
According to the party, one of the major achievements of the governor in less than one year in office is the recent successful reclamation and approval of the Ondo Deep Seaport project by the Federal Executive Council.
The party noted that the project, which had suffered years of procedural setbacks, was revived through focused leadership, strategic engagement with relevant federal institutions and strict compliance with regulatory requirements.
It noted that the seaport project would attract massive investments, create jobs and drive industrial expansion in the state.
The APC added that the governor had also demonstrated strong work ethic and vision through deliberate actions aimed at transforming the state’s economy.
It listed these actions to include prioritising industrial development, strengthening investor confidence, advancing strategic road infrastructure across the three senatorial districts and laying the foundation for petrochemical energy, fertiliser and Free Trade Zone initiatives.
The party further commended Aiyedatiwa for promoting inclusive governance through the appointment of qualified women and technocrats into key positions.
According to the APC, the governor’s consultative leadership style and openness to expert advice have continued to yield tangible results across critical sectors.
“As Ondo State approaches its 50th anniversary, the APC is confident that Gov. Aiyedatiwa is laying durable foundations for long-term prosperity rather than pursuing short-term gains,” it said.
