NAHCO sponsors Oshodi-Isolo primary schools debate

Lagos, Dec. 19, 2025 (NAN) Nigerian Aviation Handling Company Plc has sponsored a primary schools debate in Isolo Local Government Area, Oshodi, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives.

 

The Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Olumuyiwa Olumekun, in a statement on Friday, reaffirmed NAHCO’s commitment to impactful projects within its host communities.

 

Olumekun was represented at the prize-giving ceremony by the Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communications, Mr Tayo Ajakaye.

 

He said NAHCO had consistently intervened in host communities through borehole water projects, donations to internally displaced persons, and support for educational infrastructure.

 

Congratulating the winners, Olumekun praised Mafoluku Primary School, describing the performances of all three finalists as excellent.

 

He also applauded State Primary School, Oshodi, which finished second, Oshodi Model Primary School in third place, and Larinde Primary School, which placed fourth.

 

According to him, the debate theme, ‘Inspiring Young Voices, Building Tomorrow,’ helped pupils sharpen their oratory skills in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos.

 

The Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Mr Kehinde Almaroof, commended NAHCO for sponsoring the competition.

 

“This is really very impressive and we must thank NAHCO for this initiative,” Almaroof said.

 

He urged the company to sustain the sponsorship and encouraged the Local Government Education Authority to organise such competitions more frequently.

 

The competition also fostered healthy rivalry, boosted public speaking confidence, and offered learning experiences beyond the classroom.

 

The winner received ₦500,000, the second-place school ₦300,000, while the third-place school earned ₦200,000. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
