Katsina: CP leads road walk against cultism, other crimes

Katsina, Dec. 20, 2025 (NAN) The Commissioner of Police, Katsina Command, Mr Bello Shehu, on Saturday led officers in a road walk during a campaign against cultism and other vices, and promote police-community relation.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the campaign, tagged, ‘Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV)’, has the theme: “
‘Promoting Peace, Preventing Crime this Christmas’.
The police officers also sensitised the public to the effects of crimes on the society during the campaign.
The officers began the procession from the State Command Headquarters, along Sarki Abdulrahman Way, and GRA in Katsina metropolis.
Shehu emphasised the command’s commitment to fighting crimes and ensuring safety of communities in the state.
He revealed that crimes in general had negative impacts on the development, pledged that the command would continue to come up with initiatives to promote peace and enhance security of lives and property.
He, therefore, urged the citizens to intensify efforts in collaborating with the police by reporting suspicious activities of criminals, especially during the yuletide period.
Shehu added, “Together, let’s make Katsina State safer and secured, especially this yuletide.
