Fomwul-Gonsum said the gesture was aimed at providing succour to the less privileged in society, particularly widows and vulnerable children, during the Christmas season.
She explained that the organisation was committed to humanitarian services, noting that the outreach formed part of its annual Christmas intervention for indigent households.
According to her, each of the 40 households received essential food items, including bags of rice, seasoning cubes and salt, to ease hardship and enable them celebrate the festive season.
She noted that the beneficiaries included both Christians and Muslims, stressing that hunger knew no religion, tribe or background.
