Anambra CP lauds operatives for effective policing in yuletide

Awka, January 5, 2025 (NAN) The Commissioner of Police (CP) Anambra Command, Ikioye Orutugu has commended police operatives, other security agencies and residents, for their collaboration in ensuring a peaceful yuletide in the State.
Orutugu made this known in a statement on Monday in Awka, issued by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) SP Tochukwu Ikenga.
“I want to commend the police operatives, other security agencies and Anambra residents for their dedication, courage, and professionalism during the yuletide security operations across the state,” he said.
Orutugu noted that the synergy among the Police Command, sister security agencies, and other security stakeholders was instrumental to the peaceful celebration witnessed during the festive season.
He also thanked residents for their cooperation, vigilance, and support, noting that effective community partnership remains central to successful policing.
According to him, as the state ushers in the new year, there is the need for residents to deepen their cooperation with security agencies by providing timely information.
He reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to proactive policing and the protection of lives and property.
“The Anambra Police Command remains steadfast in its resolve to sustain strategies that will continue to enhance public safety and security across the state,” he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
