Aba (Abia) Jan. 3, 2026 (NAN) No fewer than 23 prominent natives of Ikwuorie Ohanku Community of Abia, including Mr Kenneth Nwachi of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), were, on Saturday, honoured with different chieftaincy titles.

The Traditional Ruler of the autonomous community in Ukwa East LGA, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere of Omega Power Ministries, performed the conferment in his palace.

NAN reports that Nwachi of the NAN Audit Department, Abuja was conferred with the title of “Chimeremma 1 (God bestowed his grace on me) of Ikwuorie Ancient Kingdom”.

Addressing the conferees, Chinyere advised them “to be of good behaviour”, warning those with negative tendencies to change and begin to contribute to the growth and development of the community.

He promised the community that he would continue to sustain the payment for WAEC and JAMB as well as the education and medicals for indigent natives, other Nigerians and Africans.

He said that aside from his free education and medical scheme for the underprivileged, he also established skill acquisition centres for Nigerian youths and others within the African continent.

“All these – free education, medicals, skill acquisition programmes – started from my Ohanku Community and they are not meant for self-enrichment but to touch people’s lives positively,” Chinyere said.

NAN learnt that part of the traditional ruler’s education programme included hiring and payment of the salaries of seven teachers in Ikwuorie Comprehensive Secondary School – one of the schools that benefit from his free education.

As a mark of appreciation, he donated N1 million to the students’ delegation from the school at the ceremony and promised them a better future.

Speaking on behalf of other royal fathers at the ceremony, the Chairman Ukwa East Traditional Rulers Council, Eze Obinna Nwagbara (the Imereenyi 1 of Ohuru), thanked Chinyere for his community development initiatives.

“Your Majesty, we have seen all you are doing, the ones you did and the ones you still want to do.

“May God in his infinite mercy give you the grace to continue your good work in our communities,” Nwagbara said.

In a goodwill massage, the President of Ndoki Council of Chiefs, Chief Nkem Onwo, said that Chinyere’s benevolence and humanitarian activities in the community and beyond, “speak for themselves.

“Your Majesty, continue to pilot the affairs of our communities for we are solidly behind you,” Onwo said.
