AGILE trains 65 focal persons to tackle GBV in Sokoto
The AGILE project in Sokoto is strategically building a sustainable, community-led defense against gender-based violence (GBV) in schools by training 65 influential focal persons. Its unique insight is the deliberate integration of traditional rulers and religious leaders into the Grievance Redress Mechanism, leveraging their grassroots authority to ensure complaints are heard and resolved locally before escalating. This creates a proactive, culturally-attuned early-warning system for safety and GBV issues, directly linking community intelligence to formal project implementation.
