Minister inaugurates artificial insemination, livestock care centres in Sokoto
The Nigerian government, with World Bank support, has launched a strategic initiative to transform the livestock sector by inaugurating advanced veterinary and artificial insemination centers in Sokoto. This intervention aims to boost productivity and resilience through improved animal health, breed enhancement, and a nationwide vaccination campaign. The core strategy is to empower rural communities by expanding the livestock value chain and integrating these hubs into a national network for sustainable agriculture. This represents a critical step in aligning livestock development with broader economic growth and food security goals
