Abuja, Dec. 26, 2025 (NAN) President Bola Tinubu on Friday joined Muslims to observe Juma’at prayers at the Lekki Central Mosque in Lagos.

This is in a statement issued by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga, on Friday in Lagos.

He stated that the visiting Imam of the Mosque, Dr Salahudeen Arriyadhi, in his sermon, lauded the President for the administration’s developmental projects and urged him to remain steadfast in spite of challenges.

He said “you cannot satisfy everyone at the same time.”

Quoting from the Qur’an, the Imam told the President that Allah is pleased with leaders who listened to the cries of their followers.

He added that “Allah is happy with leaders who listen to the cries of followers but unhappy with leaders who do not attend to the needs of the led.

“We are praying for you, and you will succeed.”

In the sermon entitled “Unity in Diversity” and “Remembering the Day of Judgement”, Arriyadhi said human diversity was divinely ordained.

He said differences in colour, tribe, religion, language and nation were intentional and should foster harmony and learning.

“Diversity is a sign of Allah’s Wisdom. If Allah had wanted everyone of his creations to be one, he would have created them one.

“Diversity in religion and tribe should not be a source of problems.”

Tinubu was accompanied by his Chief of Staff, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, and the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, among others.

He was received at the Mosque by the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, and members of the Mosque’s management.

The president arrived in Lagos on Dec. 20 to spend the end-of-year festive season in the nation’s commercial capital. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
