Lagos, Dec. 31, 2025 (NAN) The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) says it recorded significant achievements in 2025, describing the year as one of impact and intentional action in the fight against domestic violence.

The Executive Secretary of the Agency, Mrs Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi, shared an overview of the agency’s achievements for the year in a post on the agency’s X handle @Lagosdsva on Wednesday.

She said that DSVA strengthened protective systems through landmark policy launches addressing workplace sexual harassment and technology- facilitated sexual and gender-based violence.

“These policies are aimed at improving prevention, accountability, and protection for survivors, ” she said.

According to her, the agency carried out extensive prevention and awareness campaigns across all 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LGAs/LCDAs) in the state, ensuring wide community reach and engagement.

Vivour-Adeniyi said that through community outreaches, school-based programmes, institutional trainings, and survivor-centred service delivery, DSVA reached millions of residents and empowered over 600 young advocates.

The DSVA boss said that the agency also secured convictions in several cases, reinforcing accountability and justice.

She said that the achievements were made possible through strong collaboration with government institutions, civil society organisations, traditional leaders, and community stakeholders, working together to build a safer Lagos.

The Executive Secretary reaffirmed DSVA’s commitment to sustaining its efforts and deepening impact.

She said that the agency remains focused on protecting lives and strengthening support systems for survivors across the state. (NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
