Lagos, Jan. 10, 2026 (NAN) The Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF) has donated an additional operational vehicle to the Airport Police Command to strengthen security operations within the aviation environment.

The Command’s spokesperson, ASP Mohammed Adeola, disclosed this in a statement issued on Saturday in Lagos.

Adeola said the vehicle was formally presented by the Administrative Director of the LSSTF, Mr Degbola Lewis.

“Lewis said the donation underscores the Trust Fund’s sustained commitment to supporting law enforcement agencies across Lagos State,” Adeola stated.

He added that Lewis described operational assets as central to improving the state’s security architecture and promoting effective policing.

Adeola said CSP Daramola Kazeem and SP Oladipupo Taiwo received the vehicle on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Airport Command, Mrs Olufunke Ogunbode.

Ogunbode thanked the Lagos State Government and the LSSTF for the continued support.

“The gesture reflects the state’s commitment to enhancing security within the aviation sector and beyond.

“The vehicle would boost patrol coverage and improve rapid response to security incidents,” Ogunbode said.

The commissioner said it would enhance safety for passengers, airport personnel and critical aviation infrastructure across the state.

She reaffirmed the command’s commitment to effective policing, inter-agency collaboration, and sustained protection of lives and property. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
