Minna, Dec. 18, 2025 (NAN) Mr Yakubu Garba, Deputy Governor of Niger, has charged newly inaugurated commissioners and chairmen of local government councils to remain loyal and supportive in the actualisation of the New Niger Agenda.
Garba gave the charge in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ummikhaltume Kuta on Thursday in Minna.
He urged them to promote good governance, unity, progress and development across the state in the discharge of their duties.
Garba encouraged the commissioners and the LGA chairmen to conduct their activities with maturity, wisdom and respect for the state leadership in order achieve the desired objectives of the administration.
He warned against unnecessary conflicts and diversion of government resources.
He cautioned the officials against allowing external influences to mislead them in the performance of their official responsibilities.
Garba prayed God to grant them wisdom, guidance and good health to enable them to pilot the affairs of their respective ministries and councils effectively. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
