NWPL: FC Robo continues winning streak after Matchday 3

Abuja, Dec. 11, 2025 (NAN) FC Robo Queens of Lagos maintained their winning streak at the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Premier League (NWPL) season with 2-0 win against Delta Queens on Matchday 3.
A total of eight matches were played across the country with FC Robo leading in group B with nine points. Goals from Rodiat Yusuf and Tosin Rafiu were enough to seal victory for the Ikeja-based team.
Meanwhile in Umuahia, Ahudiyannem Queens FC lost by two goals at home to Nasarawa Amazons Footbal Club of Lafia.
Ohunene Sunday broke the deadlock for the visiting side two minutes into the second half as Peaceful Ikeduba’s 74th minute goal to ensure maximum points for the Amazons.
The result gave the Lafia side seven points while the hosts are condemned to single point, both after three games in Group B.
Elsewhere in Ado Ekiti, Atume Doosuur’s 67th minute goal was all it required to separate the hosts Ekiti Queens and Edo Queens as the visitors had the last laugh.
Doosur’s efforts helped the visitors secure their second win the league, with six poits in hand while Ekiti managed one point in group A.
In Aba, the hosts Abia Angels recorded their first win this season against Osun Babes FC, courtesy of first half goals from Winner David in the 15th minute and Blessing Okon 14 minutes later.
The hosts now enjoy four points after a previous loss and a draw in their first two games while the visitors are on three points after two losses.
Seven-time NWFL champions Rivers Angels secured three points on the road at Lekan Salami stadium.
The Port-Harcourt team opened scoring two minutes into the game as Garce Saliu benefited from Ramotalahi Kareem’s cross to slot in the opener.
Twenty-six minutes later, Teslimo Balogun equalized for the hosts but a resounding effort from Kareem restored the visitors lead five minutes before the break.
The loss at home compounds the woes for Pacesetters as they rests bottom of group A without a point in three games.
In Iyamho stadium, Edo, hosts Confluence Queens lost 0-2 to Remo Stars Ladies.
The visitors relied on Khadijat Anifowoshe and Similoluwa Okesiji to ensure they pick the maximum points needed to secure seven points in group B.
Anifowoshe scored 12 minutes into the game while teammate Okesiji kept it late in the 90 minute to deliver victory to the visitors.
Confluence Queens, with one point in three games, will quickly put this game behind them as they prepare to face Osun Babes in their next fixture.
In Makwada, Yola, a 16-minute goal by Ifeoma Damina sealed the win for Adamawa Queens against Ibom Angels.
The Yola-based team are top in group A with seven points while the Ibom ladies will manage only four points from a win, a loss and a draw in three games.
Meanwhile, the fixture between Naija Ratels of FCT and Bayelsa Queens have been postponed to Thursday due to “administrative reasons’’.
This is according to the NWPL.
